Hotel Minella is nestled between the Comeragh Mountains and the River Suir in Clonmel, Co. Tipperary. The original Georgian house ‘Minella’ was built by the Malcomsoms in 1863, and converted into a hotel by Jack and Babs Nallen in 1963.
Over the past 60 years, the hotel has undergone extensive redevelopment and constant refurbishment, and is now considered one of the best 4-Star hotels in the region. The ‘Minella’ name is also widely recognized in the world of horse racing, with the Nallen family actively involved in the breeding and training of race horses at their Minella Racing stables.
The hotel’s oak-paneled restaurant has garden river views and is renowned for it’s food using the freshest local and seasonal ingredients. They promote the best of Irish cuisine by working with local Tipperary food producers.
